English — Study Log (Winterreise, V “Der Lindenbaum”)
Today I copied the German lyrics from the score into the ColorNote app and asked ChatGPT-5 (OpenAI) to normalize the text, provide a full translation, and explain the vocabulary.
Because detailed word-by-word notes take a lot of human effort, I archived them privately on a new, invite-only study blog for my own records.
After reading the Japanese translation, I sat at the piano and played the accompaniments for Winterreise Nos. 1–5. The pieces are not technically difficult for sight-reading, though genuine collaboration with a singer takes serious training.
I especially felt “Der Lindenbaum” resonated with my daily walks—listening to trees, sensing the seasons, and even that moment when a gust of wind almost blows my hat away.
Going forward, I hope to practice until I can sing the German text with a CD and play the full cycle as an accompanist.

Deutsch — Lerntagebuch (Winterreise, V „Der Lindenbaum“)
Heute habe ich den deutschen Liedtext aus der Partitur in die App ColorNote übertragen und ChatGPT-5 (OpenAI) gebeten, den Text zu normalisieren, eine vollständige Übersetzung zu erstellen und den Wortschatz zu erläutern.
Da ausführliche Wort-für-Wort-Notizen für Menschen sehr zeitaufwendig sind, habe ich sie als privaten Eintrag in einem neuen, nur auf Einladung zugänglichen Studien-Blog abgelegt.
Nach der Lektüre der japanischen Übersetzung habe ich mich ans Klavier gesetzt und die Begleitungen zu Winterreise Nr. 1–5 gespielt. Technisch sind sie fürs Vom-Blatt-Spiel nicht allzu schwierig, doch ein echtes Zusammenspiel mit einer Sängerin erfordert viel Übung.
Besonders „Der Lindenbaum“ passt zu meinen täglichen Spaziergängen – den Bäumen zuhören, die Jahreszeiten spüren und sogar der Moment, in dem eine Böe mir fast den Hut vom Kopf weht.
Als nächstes möchte ich so lange üben, bis ich den deutschen Text mit einer CD mitsingen und den ganzen Zyklus als Begleiterin spielen kann.
