👩‍💼Request to Government Authorities: Social Education Law Violation and Google’s Wrongful Misattribution

I am ASADA Misuzu (戸籍名: 浅田美鈴), a pianist and composer who publishes performances and original works on YouTube and Blogger.

For more than a year, I have been facing a serious problem in Google Search: my name and artistic activities have been wrongfully linked to unrelated commercial activities, including the online sale of nail products.

1. Violation of the Social Education Law

The sales activities are being conducted at the Minoh Citizen Activity Center, a facility that should be reserved for non-profit and community activities.

Under Article 23 of the Social Education Law, the use of such a public facility for commercial business is clearly prohibited.

2. Possible Violation of the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations

The nail products sold online do not list the manufacturer’s name or proper origin labeling.

This raises strong suspicion of violation under the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations as well as the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions.

3. Google’s Wrongful Misattribution

Despite more than 50 feedback submissions from me, Google continues to link my artistic activities (YouTube thumbnails, X profile images, and even world-renowned artists I follow) with this unrelated commercial entity.

This not only harms my cultural reputation but also misleads users into believing that I am associated with these businesses, which is entirely false.

4. Request for Action

I have already submitted this matter to the Cabinet Office, the Prime Minister’s Office, the Consumer Affairs Agency, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, and the Ministry of Justice.

I strongly request:

1. A full investigation into the use of the Minoh Citizen Activity Center for commercial purposes.

2. A legal review of the nail sales and labeling practices.

3. Immediate removal of wrongful linkages in Google Search that associate me and other artists with these businesses.

This is not only a personal grievance but also a matter of public interest, involving potential misuse of public facilities and consumer deception.

I respectfully urge government authorities and Google Japan to take corrective measures without further delay.

Sincerely,

ASADA Misuzu
